The Crucible - How John Proctor Changed Essay -- Essay on The Crucible

The crucible - How John Proctor changed throughout the storyline from mistreating his married woman by chess on her while she was ill with Abigail, to someone who took the blamed so no one else got in trouble. The CrucibleIn this essay I forget talk approximately how John Proctor changed throughoutthe storyline from mistreating his wife by cheating on her while shewas ill with Abigail, to someone who took the blame so no one else gotin trouble. The Crucible is based on the true story of the 1692 capital of Oregon Witch Trialswhere battalion were hanged if they were accused of beingness a witch. All ofthem were innocent and wrongly hanged. Arthur Miller has changed someof the antic so it would be easier to write about like the girls in emit out has been reduced and Abigails age has been raised. Therewere also 7 settle of equal authority which has all been symbolized inHathorne and Danforth. The story starts out with a group of girls who were caught dancing inthe woods by Reveren d Parris. He also saw one of them naked in thewoods. Next first light Betty falls ill and Parris keeps asking whatswrong with her and what did Abigail do to her. He asks about the deviland Abigail moots this as an opportunity to blame people for being tortuous with the devil and getting her own back on people. We thensee people coming into the house and leaving. Abigail tells all thesepeople who she saw with the devil. posterior on we get introduced to JohnProctor who was respected in Salem and even feared. He is in hismiddle thirties and was a farmer. indeed in Act2 John Proctor sits downto dinner with his wife, Elizabeth. Mary Warren, their servant, has asleep(p) to the witch trials, disobeying Elizabeths order that she remainin the house. Fourteen... ...eople were acting quickly. Atthe showtime everybody speaks with the same dialect. He uses goodyfor names which is short for good wife. And people call each otherwith mister and miss. This all contributes to the feeling of a polar society. Distanced not only by time but by the elan itcommunicated. While we was reading it in class, there was some people who purposethat John Proctor took the easy way out and was being self-loving bycommitting suicide and leaving his children and wife to them selvesand not standing up to the rest of the village by knowing that peoplewouldnt like him anymore and if he died then he wouldnt have to putup with that. I think though that he changed during the play and didwhat was right by exhausting to do his best and make up to his wife abouthis mistakes. He changes and tries to take the blame instead ofeveryone else.
